Five kittens born 9 August 2026, three males and two females. Hugo is a blue mitted and Margot a seal mitted who carries dilute, so this pairing gives seal and blue kittens in colorpoint and mitted, and now and then a high mitted with extra white. It cannot produce a true bicolor. We have three seal colorpoints, one seal mitted and one blue mitted. At six weeks the seal kittens are clearly marked, with ears, nose and tail well on their way to brown, and the blue girl is a few days behind them in pale pewter. Colorpoint and mitted kittens look much alike at this age. The mitteds are told apart by a white chin and by feet that will stay white as the legs color in. All five are eating well, using a pine pellet litter box without reminders, and weigh between 1 pound 6 ounces and 1 pound 11 ounces. First vaccination is on 4 October, spay and neuter around 25 October, and they go home from 8 November at thirteen weeks. The kittens are named for the vocabulary of printing, as all of Margot's litters are.

Vesper is confirmed in kitten by ultrasound and due in the last week of October. Hal is a seal who carries dilute and Vesper is blue, so we expect seal and blue kittens in about equal numbers. Both parents are true bicolors. That pairing gives, on average, two bicolors, one colorpoint and one high-white kitten in every four, and it cannot produce a mitted. We will know patterns with certainty by about four weeks. Both parents are N/N for HCM and PKD1, with normal echocardiograms this year. Kittens will go home in late January at thirteen weeks. We are speaking with approved families now and will take deposits once the kittens are born.
