Lindenhall is a small Ragdoll cattery in a 1920s house on the north side of Asheville, North Carolina. We have bred Ragdolls since 2015 and are registered with both TICA and CFA. There are never more than three queens and two studs in the house, and all of them live in it with us. There are no outbuildings and no cages, and the back garden is fully fenced and netted so the cats can go out on the grass with us.
We work in two colors, seal and blue, and in the three traditional patterns: colorpoint, mitted and bicolor. That is a narrow brief and we keep to it on purpose. It lets us know every cat in a five-generation pedigree, and it keeps our attention on the things that matter more than novelty: heart health, substance and bone, a true blue eye, a rabbit-soft coat that does not mat, and the temperament the breed is named for.

Ready to go home: November 8, 2026
Five kittens born 9 August 2026, three males and two females. Hugo is a blue mitted and Margot a seal mitted who carries dilute, so this pairing gives seal and blue kittens in colorpoint and mitted, and now and then a high mitted with extra white. It cannot produce a true bicolor. We have three seal colorpoints, one seal mitted and one blue mitted. At six weeks the seal kittens are clearly marked, with ears, nose and tail well on their way to brown, and the blue girl is a few days behind them in pale pewter. Colorpoint and mitted kittens look much alike at this age. The mitteds are told apart by a white chin and by feet that will stay white as the legs color in. All five are eating well, using a pine pellet litter box without reminders, and weigh between 1 pound 6 ounces and 1 pound 11 ounces. First vaccination is on 4 October, spay and neuter around 25 October, and they go home from 8 November at thirteen weeks. The kittens are named for the vocabulary of printing, as all of Margot's litters are.

Health Guarantee
Kittens are sold under a written contract. You have five days to have your own veterinarian examine the kitten, and if a significant health problem is found we take the kitten back and refund you in full. We guarantee against FeLV and FIV at the time of sale, and for three years against hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and polycystic kidney disease as diagnosed by a board-certified specialist, with your choice of a replacement kitten or a full refund. We ask for a copy of the report either way, because it changes what we breed. The contract requires that the cat live indoors and never be declawed, and any Lindenhall cat may come back to us at any point in its life.

Hearts scanned as well as swabbed
Every stud and queen is clear of the Ragdoll HCM mutation by DNA and has a normal echocardiogram from a board-certified cardiologist, repeated every 12 to 18 months while the cat is breeding. A DNA result alone cannot rule out HCM.
A closed cattery
No outside stud service in either direction, quarantine and testing for any new cat, and a household that tests FeLV and FIV negative. Visitors are welcome by appointment once kittens have had their first vaccination.
Home at twelve to fourteen weeks
Kittens leave already spayed or neutered, microchipped, twice vaccinated and fully litter trained. The extra weeks with their mother are where a Ragdoll learns its manners.
Two colors, three patterns
Seal and blue, in colorpoint, mitted and bicolor. We do not breed mink, sepia or solid cats. Every Lindenhall kitten is a blue-eyed pointed Ragdoll that can be shown in championship classes.

Because a Ragdoll kitten at eight weeks is not finished. Between eight and twelve weeks kittens learn bite inhibition and litter habits from their mother and littermates, complete their second vaccination, and are spayed or neutered with time to recover here. Ragdolls are a slow-maturing breed, and the kittens we send home at thirteen weeks settle faster and more confidently than any eight-week-old could. They go home eating Royal Canin Kitten dry food, left out through the day, and Purina Pro Plan Kitten chicken pate morning and evening, and we ask that you keep to both for the first month.
Two kinds. Every breeding cat is DNA tested for the MYBPC3 R820W mutation, the known Ragdoll form of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and all of ours are N/N. That test covers one mutation, and HCM can arise from causes it does not detect, so each stud and queen also has an echocardiogram by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist before a first breeding and every 12 to 18 months afterward. The reports are dated and available for you to read. We also test for PKD1, and we blood type every breeding cat so that a type B queen is never bred to a type A stud without a plan for the kittens' first day.
Yes, without exception for pet kittens. Surgery is done by our veterinarian at around eleven weeks, once a kitten weighs at least three pounds. Pediatric spay and neuter is well studied, recovery at that age takes a day or two, and it means no pet kitten from us will ever be bred by accident or on purpose. Kittens go home at least a week after surgery, fully healed.
It means we control what comes through the door, since panleukopenia and calicivirus travel on shoes and hands. We do not take in visiting queens or send ours out to stud, and any new cat is quarantined for thirty days and tested before it meets the others. Families are welcome by appointment once a litter has had its first vaccination at eight weeks. We ask that you come straight from home, not from a shelter or another cattery, leave shoes at the door and wash your hands. Before that we are glad to do video calls, and we send photographs every week.
